Dan Lampariello has joined Sinclair's WGME CBS 13/WPFO FOX 23 in Portland, Maine as a reporter.
Dan joins WGME from WBBJ ABC/CBS 7 in Jackson, Tennessee where he had been a multimedia journalist since May 2014.
"I've been dreading writing this post for a while now" he wrote in a Facebook post.
"Tonight marks my last night reporting for WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News. Tomorrow I head back to New England to start a new job reporting with WGME CBS 13 in Portland, Maine! For the past 2 years West Tennessee has truly been my home away from home. I've had the privilege of meeting so many amazing people and telling their stories. Thank you all so much for letting this southern transplant into your homes every night! I hope you'll continue to follow my adventures up north. As they say "it's not goodbye, it's see you later"!"

While in Tennessee Dan worked extensively as a nightside breaking news reporter. While there, he covered everything from the discovery of Holly Bobo's remains to a jail break at the Madison County Correctional Complex. He has also managed to have a number of his stories spread throughout the state and country.
Before joining WBBJ, Dan was a writer at WHDH NBC 7 in Boston, Massachusetts.
A native of Dracut, Massachusetts, Dan is a 2014 graduate of Suffolk University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.
While at Suffolk, he was part of the University’s award winning news team “Suffolk U News”, covering many hard hitting stories across the city including the Boston Marathon Bombing. While reporting on Boylston Street during the 2013 marathon Dan captured one of the most iconic photographs to come out of the tragic events and was later interviewed by Diane Sawyer and George Stephanopoulos on ABC.
During college, Dan also worked as a student reporter for New England Cable News, reporting live on the station once a week. He has also interned on the assignment desk at WHDH, and was a digital editorial intern with Boston Magazine.
Dan's first day at WGME was today.
