Join WCVB NewsCenter 5 anchor Maria Stephanos as she interviews some of the biggest names and most influential people in Boston in a 1-hour primetime special “Someone You Should Know with Maria Stephanos.”

The program will air from 10-11PM on WCVB on Tuesday June 20th and will re-air Sunday, June 25th from 12:30-1:30 PM. The special will also air Wednesday, June 21st from 10:30-11:30PM on MeTV Boston immediately following The 10 O’Clock News on MeTV Boston.

Maria gets up-close and personal with some of the Bay State’s most influential and fascinating people to find out what drives and inspires them, and delves into the experiences that have shaped them into who they are today. Interviews include:

  • Boston Celtics super star point guard Isaiah Thomas
  • David Muir, anchor and managing editor of ABC World News Tonight with David Muir and co-anchor of ABC’s 20/20, talks about his career and Boston roots as former anchor and reporter at WCVB, as well as the importance of unbiased reporting during this critical time
  • Olympic medal-winning figure skater Nancy Kerrigan talks about her life on and off the ice and what it was like to compete on this past season of Dancing with the Stars
  • Nancy Frates, mother of Pete Frates, who has helped her son in his battle with ALS and been a driving force in helping to raise awareness and funds for ALS research
  • Congressman Seth Moulton on the current political climate and whether there may be a Presidential run in his future
  • Nick Varano, owner of some of Boston’s hottest restaurants, on why celebs are into his eateries and his battle with obesity that led to weight loss surgery
  • The woman who holds the secret to the world famous Toll House cookie recipe which originated in Whitman, Massachusetts
  • And last but not least, WCVB Sports Director Mike Lynch talks about some of his favorite and most memorable High 5 stories from the past 32 years at Channel 5
