Almost three weeks after launching "The Ten O'Clock News on MeTV Boston," WCVB Channel 5 has decided to cut the hour-long newscast down to 30 minutes.
Robert M. Bennett, a legendary broadcaster and first General Manager of WCVB Channel 5, died Tuesday night (November 29) at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA. He was 89.
Beginning February 29, WCVB NewsCenter 5, Boston's News Leader and local ABC Affiliate, will take the leap into the 10PM news race by launching a live hour of news every day entitled The 10 O'Clock News on MeTV Boston.
Boston's WCVB ABC 5 will launch a 4PM newscast, entitled NewsCenter 5 at 4, beginning the week of November 7th.
WCVB Channel 5 has won top honors from two prestigious media organizations.
