Samara Abramson has joined Western Mass News at WGGB ABC/FOX 40 and WSHM CBS 3 in Springfield, Massachusetts as a reporter.
Prior to joining Western Mass News, Samara spent two months as a freelance news assistant for CNN in New York City.
A native of the Boston area, Samara is a 2016 graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism where she earned a Master's degree in journalism. She is also a 2015 graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where she earned a Bachelor's degree in journalism.
She has published work with CNN, New Voices Magazine, The Ink NYC, Global City NYC, the Cape Cod Times and WCVB.com.
Samara started at Western Mass News in June.
