WBZ-TV today announced that Kathryn Hauser is joining the station as the new weekday morning and noon anchor, and that Danielle Niles is moving from weekend mornings to weekday mornings and noon. We also reported that Chris McKinnon is joining the station as a reporter, he may also be the new weekend evening anchor.

First on New England One, an inside source at WBZ told us of these additional anchor changes that have not yet been announced.

With Jack Williams retiring from the anchor desk, the evening duties will be the following:

  • Lisa Hughes & David Wade: 5 p.m., 5:30 p.m. & 11 p.m.
  • Jonathan Elias & Paula Ebben: 6 p.m. & 10 p.m. (on myTV 38)

The morning and afternoon has the following changes:

  • Kathryn Hauser will be the morning and noon co-anchor
  • Danielle Niles shifts to weekdays on weather
  • Bree Sison will shift to a Monday - Friday morning reporting schedule

Todd Gutner will be leaving WBZ to join a station in Portland, ME as the Chief Meteorologist (WCHS).

Kate Merrill has been re-assigned to reporting duties.
