Former WCVB anchor Bianca de la Garza is coming back home to channel 5 in January.

'Bianca Unanchored' will be an entertainment and lifestyle focused show with an eye on Boston's local celebrity, fashion and nightlife scene.

Last week, de la Garza sat down with Bravo TV host Andy Cohen to tape a segment to air on her first show. According to the Boston Herald, the pair "dished about Cohen’s Boston University days, says de la Garza, and if he ever thinks about sleeping with a woman — perhaps Sarah Jessica Parker?"

Cohen also said he wants to find love next year, and de la Garza says, “So do I.”

In addition to airing on WCVB in Boston, the show will also air on Hearst sister stations WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH and WWMTW-TV in Portland, ME.

WCVB announced that de la Garza was leaving the EyeOpener in February to start her own production company, Lucky Gal Productions, to develop the new show.

"Bianca has been a big part of our success on the EyeOpener," said WCVB president and general manager Bill Fine. "For over a year now, we have been discussing her future options in television and she is an entrepreneur at heart. Bianca has numerous other interests and will undoubtedly be successful in pursuing her new career. I'm thrilled her first venture will be on WCVB."

"It's a dream come true to be launching my own show on WCVB, the station I've called home for the past 5 years," said de la Garza when she announced she was leaving WCVB. "I've spent 17 years covering major news events. Moving into a new creative space in television was something I wanted to do and something Bill Fine understood and embraced. This partnership is a perfect union of our desire to create original programming that speaks to New England viewers."

A native of Massachusetts, de la Garza is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she studied broadcast journalism.

After 6 years she signed off of WCVB in May, she was also an anchor/reporter at WFXT-TV FOX 25 in Boston for almost 7 years.

'Bianca Unanchored' will air Saturdays at 11:30pm.
