The Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences celebrated the 22nd annual "Silver Circle" awards tonight.

The Silver Circle is a special recognition of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to honor veteran television professionals who have made significant contributions to their community, the television industry and to individuals training for careers in the field of television.

Silver Circle candidates must have a minimum of 25 years of service in a echnical, performing, creative or administrative role in television or in an associated activity directly related to television.

A 6pm dinner was followed by the awards ceremony the Seaport Hotel in Boston.

The honorees were:

  • Keith Clark, local production manager, WGBY-TV - Springfield, MA
  • Dan Kain, former reporter, WFSB-TV - Hartford, CT
  • Paul Lally, television producer, New Hampshire Public Television - Durham, NH
  • Mike Nikitas, news anchor, New England Cable News - Boston, MA
  • Marita Rivero, former general manager for rafio and television, WGBH - Boston, MA
  • Bill Shields, reporter, WBZ-TV - Boston, MA
