Anthony DiLorenzo will be joining WPIX-TV CW 11 in New York as a general assignment reporter.

Anthony joins PIX11 from WFTV-TV ABC 9 in Orlando, FL where he was an enterprise reporter for the last two years. He has also been a reporter at WFXT-TV FOX 25 in Boston, MA and WTIC-TV FOX 61 in Hartford, CT. He was also the evening weekend anchor at WWLP-TV NBC 22 in Springfield, MA.

Anthony started his career while still in college as a writer and field producer for WHDH-TV NBC 7 in Boston.

Anthony has covered many major stories including being at Ground Zero in NYC after Osama bin Laden's death, the Inauguration of Barack Obama, Pope Benedict XVI's visit to the United States, the death of Senator Edward Kennedy, and the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy in Newtown, CT. He also covered both Hurricane's Irene and Sandy in 2012.

He was also the first reporter to uncover the story about Phoebe Prince which prompted Massachusetts lawmakers to create anti-bullying legislation for school children.

Anthony has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and has earned two Associated Press awards for breaking news coverage.

A native of Fairfield County in Connecticut, Anthony is a 2006 graduate of Suffolk University in Boston where he studied broadcast journalism.

Anthony and his wife, Kala Rama, are excited to return back to the region. Kala has not yet announced where she is headed to.

Anthony starts at WPIX on April 6.
