Adam Harding is leaving 7 News and moving down south to join Meredith Corporation's WGCL-TV CBS 46 in Atlanta, New England One has confirmed.
"Well, the cat's out of the bag" he said in an announcement, "I am moving down south to Atlanta. I am here through the end of the year, and buffalo wings go a long way in my happiness, FYI."
Most recently, Adam was a freelance general assignment reporter at Boston's WHDH-TV, where he has been since 2012.
While at WHDH, he has covered some of the nation’s biggest stories, from a terrorist attack at the Boston marathon to the arrest of a prominent football star, and of course, a blizzard or two here and there. He has also covered two World Series with the Boston Red Sox, a Stanley Cup championship with the Boston Bruins, a Super Bowl and an NBA finals.
Before joining WHDH, Adam was a reporter for WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH, where he covered everything from snow storms to presidential primaries.
He also spent time at WCVB-TV and New England Cable News, both in Boston.
Adam got his start as a weekend anchor and reporter at KNDU-TV NBC 25 in Kennewick, WA
Adam was born in Indiana, but grew up in Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Emerson College, where he studied radio, television and digital communication. While at Emerson, he won several Associated Press Awards and was nominated for a college Emmy Award.
He has a passion for unique storytelling and can deliver breaking news in a focused, engaging manner while also utilizing social media to deliver the day’s top stories.
Adam's father Ed is the main anchor at WCVB NewsCenter 5, and is also a graduate of Emerson College.
Adam starts his new position after the New Year.
