Jennifer Martinez is joining KGUN ABC 9 in Tucson, Arizona, New England One has learned.
Jennifer comes to KGUN from Western Mass News at WGGB-TV ABC40/FOX6 and WSHM CBS 3 in Springfield, Massachusetts where she was a morning and dayside reporter.
While at Western Mass News, Jennifer covered a variety of stories from the death of death of Tom Sullivan, a marine from Springfield who was killed in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the death of Massachusetts State Trooper Clardy who was killed making a stop on the Mass Pike.
She also covered the death of Auburn police officer Ronald Tarentino who was shot and killed on the line of duty; the terrorist, Alexander ciccolo from north Adams that wanted to shoot individuals in a university/college and claimed affiliation with ISIL. In addition, she covered a variety of crime stories in and around Springfield and reported feature pieces.
Before Western Mass News, Jennifer worked at WHDH-TV in Boston where she was a production assistant for 7 News.
Prior to WHDH, Jennifer was an assistant producer at Encuentro Latino TV in Canton, MA. She has also been a freelance host at Stoughton Media Access Corporation as well as Belmont Media Center, both in Massachusetts. In addition, she was a freelance reporter for the Belmont Citizen-Herald.
A native of Massachusetts, Jennifer is a 2011 graduate of Suffolk University in Boston where she studied Broadcast Journalism.
She starts at KGUN on September 26.
