Amanda Grace has joined Seattle, WA stations KING-TV/KONG-TV as an anchor, she announced on Twitter.

She will anchor the 4pm news on KING-TV 5, and the 9pm news on KONG-TV 6 starting October 23, 2014.

Amanda comes to KING from WHDH-TV in Boston which she joined in October 2008 as a general assignment reporter, coming to the station from XETV channel 6 in San Diego. She was named anchor of the 4pm, 4:30pm & 5:30pm newscasts in November 2011, and also reported for the 10pm & 11pm broadcasts.

Prior to that, Amanda worked at WSET in Roanoke/Lynchburg, Virginia, as an anchor, reporter and producer.  She's also spent time as a general assignment reporter at KSNT in Topeka, Kansas, and in the Chicago bureaus of NBC Nightly News and Fox News Channel.

Amanda is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Amanda moved to Seattle in September to be closer to family.
