Paul Mueller has left WBIN-TV's NH1 News to move back to Tampa, FL to join the station he "grew up watching" WFLA-TV NBC 8 as a general assignment reporter. His last day at the Concord, NH based NH1 was on November 6.

"It's another one of those bittersweet days in my career" Paul announced. "After nearly a year and a half, it's time to say "see you soon" to all of the friends I have made not only here at the station but also out in the community. I feel so fortunate and blessed to have been an anchor and chief investigative reporter as I returned to New England."

Paul came to NH1 News in August 2014 from Bay News 9 in Tampa, FL, where he was a general assignment reporter based out of the stations Pinellas County newsroom.

He says going back to Tampa will be "a homecoming to be able see all my friends, family, former colleagues, and everyone in the community I came to know and love. It's the place where I grew up.  Winter is arriving soon and the sun and the beaches and a station that is "On Your Side" has come calling."

Certainly no stranger to New England, Paul was a morning news anchor at Springfield, MA ABC affiliate WGGB-TV before joining Bay News 9 in 2012. He also reported for the stations noon and evening newscasts. In addition to his time at WGGB, Paul also worked at WLNE in Providence, RI; WMUR in Manchester, NH; and WLVI in Boston, MA.

He has also spent time as a freelance reporter at KOMO-TV and KCPQ-TV in Seattle, WA; was a reporter at WWBT-TV in Richmond, VA; and got his start as a weekend anchor and reporter at KETK-TV in Tyler, TX.

A native of Patchogue, NY, Paul is a 1995 graduate of Boston University where he received a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.

With the advance in technology, and the Internet, when a news anchor leaves your favorite station, they are no longer really gone. Paul says "to all my friends up here in New England, please stay and touch and if want you can always catch me on http://wfla.com. For now, see you soon and be well."

WFLA is a Media General station, and now part of the NewsOn app, so staying in "touch" is now easier than ever.

Paul's first day at WFLA is November 16.
