A member of the American Meteorological Society since 1986, Nick holds their AMS Seal of approval for broadcasting excellence and has over 25 years experience broadcasting New England weather. He holds a Bachelor's degree in meteorology from Lyndon State College in Vermont.

Nick's broadcasting career has taken him to every state in New England except Rhode Island. He began in Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine where he finally landed full time employment at WMUR in NH. This didn't last long before Nick accepted an offer as chief meteorologist here in Western MA in 1996. He has visited countless schools and civic organizations with his weather presentations and was voted best weathercaster by his viewers. He has also assisted NECN in Boston as their vacation relief meteorologist since 2006. Nick joined the CBS3 weather team as their weeknight Meteorologist in 2013 where he was awarded 1st place in the television personality category by the Massachusetts Broadcasters Association. He can now be seen broadcasting the evening weather on Western Mass News.

Nick taught the very first in-class introductory course in Meteorology at Holyoke Community College in 2006 as an adjunct professor. He's also taught secondary science at Community Christian School in Westfield. Running for public office in 2007, he served two terms as City Councilor At-Large in his hometown of Westfield. Nick also served on the Board of Directors for the American Lung Association of Massachusetts from 1998 to 2013. He currently serves on the Southern New England Weather Conference planning committee as he has done since 2008. His latest advocacy includes childhood cancer research as you will see him wearing gold each September.

Nick currently freelances for New England Cable News as a vacation relief meteorologist.
