"I'm excited to step in front of the camera and start my new job as a reporter at Western Mass News" Maggie said on her Facebook page. "Thanks to everyone who helped me learn and grow these past few years."

She added that she has "received such a warm welcome from the crew at Western Mass News" and is "very excited to join a great team!"

Maggie comes to WMN from Meredith Corp sister-station WFSB-TV CBS 3 in Hartford, CT where she had been a special projects producer since May 2012.

In addition to working for WFSB Maggie has been an election stringer, which tabulates the votes and reports findings back to headquarters, for the Associated Press since 2010. She has also been a freelance reporter for Holly Pinafore Magazine for the past 6 years.

She started her professional journalism career in early 2012 as a freelance associate producer for News 12 Connecticut in Norwalk.

A native of Foxborough, MA, Maggie is a 2007 graduate of Anna Maria College in Paxton, MA where she earned a Bachelor's degree in business administration and theater. In 2011, she graduated Quinnipiac University with a Master's degree in journalism.

During her time in college, Maggie was a special projects intern at WFSB. She was also a freelance reporter for the Connecticut Health Investigative Team, a non-profit organization that provides the public with informative stories about health, safety and medical issues. In between degrees, Maggie spent time as a marketing coordinator.
