Zack Green is joining WJAR NBC 10 in Providence, Rhode Island as a meteorologist on the stations Sunrise newscast. He replaces Kelly Love who left WJAR in August.

Zack joins WJAR from WLOS ABC 13 Asheville, North Carolina where he was the weekend morning meteorologist.

"I have been fortunate enough to get an opportunity as the Weekday Morning Meteorologist with WJAR in Providence, RI" Zack said on his Facebook page.

"First off, this past year and change absolutely flew by. But I guess that follows the saying of "time flies when you're having fun." WLOS, especially the weekend morning show, has solidified my love and passion for broadcast meteorology. As for Asheville, what more can I possibly say? It's truly been one of the most amazing places to live and work. This little gem of a city has given me memories that will last a lifetime. It's not just the city itself that is so incredible...it's more so the people within it. You have all be so supportive and accepting to a new-comer (even if I am a "yankee"!) whether it be simply saying "hi" on Facebook or shaking my hand on the street. Every gesture made me feel so welcome. I want to thank you all for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of your TV family" he said.

Before WLOS, Zack was the morning meteorologist and co-host of "Montana This Morning" for KRTV ABC 3/9 in Great Falls.

This is a return to WJAR for Zack, he was a weather intern there during college.

Zack enjoys adventure. He took a journey to Sri Lanka to care for elephants. He also backpacked through India and Nepal. You'll find him out and about on the trails or at the nearby basketball court!

A Rhode Island native, Zack is a 2013 graduate of the University of Delaware. He starts at WJAR soon.
