Christina Myers is joining WLNE ABC 6 in Providence, Rhode Island as an anchor.

Christina will join John Deluca at the ABC6 anchor desk weeknights for ABC6 News at 6 and 11 beginning June 27th.

The announcement was made in Providence by Nic Moye, News Director at ABC 6, “We are excited to have Christina join John for our 6 and 11pm broadcasts. A native Rhode Islander, her local knowledge and exceptional storytelling skills make her the perfect complement to our evening news team.”

According to ABC 6 Vice President and General Manager Chris Tzianabos,” Christina is an accomplished journalist. Her enthusiasm is contagious; I think she will have a real connection with our viewers.”

A graduate of Hofstra University with a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism and Sociology, Christina is thrilled to have the opportunity to be back in Rhode Island. Christina grew up here attended elementary and middle school at Cranston Johnston Catholic Regional moving on to La Salle Academy for High School.

“Having lived in Rhode Island for most of my life, it’s an honor and a privilege to deliver the news every night to the community I love so much and know so well. I feel as though I will have a real connection to each story and will likely know at least one person who is personally impacted,” Christina stated.

Prior to joining ABC 6, Christina worked as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter for KGUN ABC 9, a Morning Anchor/Investigative Reporter for KAUZ CBS 6 and an Anchor-Reporter for WPRO AM/FM radio.

Christina is moving cross country from Tucson to Rhode Island along with the rescue horse she adopted while working with a volunteer group in Arizona.
