Julianne Peixoto is joining Media General's WPRI CBS 12/WNAC FOX 64 in Providence, RI as a reporter for Eyewitness News This Morning.
Julianne is joining WPRI from WBNG CBS 12 in Binghamton, NY where she was a weekend anchor and producer, and a reporter during the week.
"After nearly two years in the big Bing, I am beyond thrilled to announce I will be continuing my career as a reporter in Providence, RI! I'm so excited to be joining the Eyewitness News team at WPRI and to have the opportunity to report the news where I grew up" Julianne said on her Facebook page.
Julianne joined WBNG in June 2014, and had previously spent five months interning for the station.
During college, Julianne was a reporter and anchor at CitrusTV. She has also interned at WJAR in Providence, RI; Kiss 108 FM in Boston, MA; WSYR in Syracuse, NY; and for NBC at the 2012 London Olympics. She's also been a volunteer reporter at WAER Radio in Syracuse.
A native of Southeastern Massachusetts, Julianne is a 2014 graduate of Syracuse University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in broadcast and digital journalism.
Her first day at WPRI is April 11.
