Lorenzo Hall has been promoted at FOX 61, Tribune's Hartford station.

Hall, who currently anchors the 4pm news at the station with Jenn Bernstein, will join Audrey Kuchen to also anchor the news at 10pm. Current co-anchor Brent Hardin will continue to co-anchor the stations 5pm and 11pm newscasts.

Hall joined FOX 61 in April 2015, and has reported on everything from the plight of Vietnam veterans in Connecticut to Hartford’s critical role in the booming gun industry.

He came to FOX 61 from Tribune sister-station WTVR-TV CBS 6 in Richmond, Virginia, where he was the 5pm & 5:30pm news anchor. He also served as an Investigative Reporter for CBS 6 News.

During his time in Richmond, Hall reported on a wide range of stories, including the inauguration of President Barack Obama, all-access with Governor Bob McDonnell, 2011’s East Coast earthquake and he’s also flown though a hurricane multiple times aboard a P-3 hurricane hunter aircraft.

Prior to joining WTVR, Hall served as general assignment reporter and weekend evening anchor at KOMU-TV, the NBC affiliate in Columbia, Missouri. He also worked as a political reporter for one of the nation's top-rated NPR affiliates, KBIA-FM.

Hall has been recognized for his reporting and writing with a regional Edward R. Murrow award and five Emmy awards.

A native of Washington, D.C., Hall is a graduate of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism. At Mizzou, Hall spent a portion of his last semester touring Europe to study journalism practices in Belgium, France, Italy and Germany.

Hall has also interned at WRC-TV NBC 4 and WUSA-TV CBS 9, both in the Washington, D.C. area. He began his media career in high school as a correspondent for BET's award-winning talk show, “Teen-Summit.”
