Erin Logan is joining WTIC-TV FOX 61 in Hartford, CT as a reporter, New England One has confirmed.

Erin tells New England One that she has moved on from WTNH-TV ABC 8 in New Haven and will be "starting at another station in this market next week." While Erin declined to say where she was going (she said an announcement would be made soon), we were able to confirm that she is joining the team at FOX 61.

“We are very excited to add Erin to the FOX 61 team" said FOX 61 news director Coleen Marren in a statement. "She is a strong reporter and will help cover the important issues to better serve our viewers”.

Erin was most recently the weekend evening anchor, general assignment reporter and a member of the News 8 Investigators team at WTNH. She joined WTNH in September 2011 as a reporter, and was promoted to her most recent position in January 2013.

Prior to WTNH, Erin was a reporter at WLNE-TV ABC 6 in Providence, RI. She has also worked as an anchor at WNDU-TV in South Bend, IN; and as a reporter at WOFL-TV in Orlando, FL; and as a freelance reporter at both WHDH-TV in Boston and WJAR-TV in Providence.

Erin has come a long way, her first job in the business was the weekend anchor at WAGM-TV in Presque Isle, ME, market number 206.

“I’m thrilled to be joining a team of impressive managers and talented journalists who are heavily involved in the community and work hard every day to find unique stories and get answers for people who are struggling here in Connecticut,” Erin said in a statement.

Over the years, Erin has also worked in education, and spent time as an adjunct professor in several of the markets she has worked in. Most recently, she was an adjunct professor of public speaking at the University of Bridgeport. She's also taught at Johnson & Wales University in Providence; and at Holy Cross College and the University of Notre Dame in the South Bend area. In January 2016, she will begin teaching a broadcast course a Quinnipiac University.

Erin graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 from Syracuse University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in speech communications with a minor in Spanish. She is also a 2005 graduate of Boston University where she earned a Master's degree in broadcast journalism.

She starts at FOX 61 on December 14.
