In case you missed it, Gail Huff has joined the New Hampshire 1 News Network as a special correspondent and news contributor. Gail has been reporting enterprise feature stories, and also co-anchored breaking news during the Boston Bombing trial verdict.

Gail last worked as a reporter at WGBH News in Boston after she moved back to Massachusetts when her husband, former Senator Scott Brown, lost his re-election. The couple then moved to their home in Rye, NH where Brown launched a bid for the Senate in New Hampshire, which he subsequently lost.

Gail worked at WJLA-TV ABC 7 as a special projects reporter in Washington, D.C. after her husband won a special election in Massachusetts to replace Ted Kennedy in the United States Senate in 2010.

Prior to that, Gail had been a general assignment news reporter for WCVB-TV ABC 5 in Boston since 1993. During Brown's Senate run in 2010, Gail continued to work at WCVB as a reporter staying away from any political stories. She also did not campaign with or for her husband, and only appeared with him on stage on election night after he won the special election. She stayed at WCVB until June 2010 when she decided to take the job with WJLA.

"This has been one of the most difficult personal or professional decisions I have ever made, but it is the right one for me, because it enables me to spend more time with my husband and family" Gail said about the decision to leave WCVB and join her husband in Washington, D.C. "While I will miss my co-workers and loyal viewers in New England, I look forward to this stage in my career."

Before her 17 years at WCVB, Gail has been a reporter for WFSB-TV in Hartford, CT; and WLNE-TV in Providence, RI. She got her startin broadcast journalism as an anchor at WNCT-TV in Greenville, NC.

Outside of journalism, Gail has hosted a half-hour parenting series with child psychologist, Dr. Penelope Leach called "Your Baby & Child" on Lifetime Television.

Born in Winterset, IA, Gail moved with her family to Waltham, MA during high school. She is a graduate of Bentley University (then Bentley College) where she studied business communications. She also attended Emerson College's graduate program in broadcast journalism before taking her first television news job in North Carolina.

Gail started at NH1 News in mid-February, and we wish her a belated congrats on the new job.
