Sunbeam Television announced the promotion of its director of sales Paul Magnes to Vice President and General Manager of the Boston duopoly today.
Paul succeeds Robert "Bubba" Burns who became GM in September, but recently resigned.
“Paul is an excellent executive and will do a great job as general manager of our two stations in Boston,” said Ed Ansin, Sunbeam Television's owner.
“We are excited that Paul will be leading the Boston stations as we move forward,” said Chris Wayland, EVP-GM of Sunbeam Television Corp (the former GM of WHDH/WLVI). “He has proven to be a strong manager, overseeing the most successful sales force in the market.”
Magnes said: “I am excited to begin my new role at the station, and look forward to working with the team that brings Boston viewers the news they want to see each and every day.”
Paul's promotion is effective immediately.
