First on New England One, Sorboni Banerjee and Sara Underwood have been officially named anchors on WFXT-TV's FOX 25 Morning News in Boston.

Sorboni and Sara had been filling in since Shannon Mulaire left the station in October.

Sorboni Banerjee will be anchoring from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. with new-hire Daniel Miller, who starts at the station on January 19.

Sorboni has been with FOX 25 since 2012 when she joined the station as a morning anchor/reporter. Most recently, she was co-anchor of the FOX 25 News at 5 with Mark Ockerbloom and Maria Stephanos before being moved back to mornings to fill-in.

Before coming to FOX 25, Sorboni was a morning anchor/reporter at WHDH-TV NBC 7 also in Boston. Prior to that she was the morning anchor at WLNE-TV ABC 6 in Providence, RI. She has also been an anchor/reporter at WHAG-TV NBC 25 in Hagerstown, MD.

A native of Rhode Island, Sorboni is a 2002 graduate of Boston University where she studied broadcast journalism.

Sara Underwood, who is joining FOX 25 full-time, will anchor from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. alongside Gene Lavanchy.

Sara started at FOX 25 in 2008, and left in 2011 to spend more time with her family. Sara was a freelance fill-in anchor for the station, and had been filling in on the morning show since October.

Sara joined FOX 25 from WTTG-TV FOX 5 in Washington, D.C. where she was a reporter. Prior to that, Sara spent 8 years as an anchor at WBZ-TV CBS 4 in Boston.

Earlier in her career Underwood served as an anchor and reporter at WDTN, the ABC affiliate in Dayton, Ohio. She started her career at KIEM-TV in Eureka, Calif. 

A native of California, Sara is a 1992 graduate of the University of California Los Angeles where she studied sociology.

Jessica Reyes is joining the FOX 25 Morning News as full-time reporter.

Most recently, Jessica has been reporting across all shifts for FOX 25, and will now move to mornings.

Jessica joined FOX 25 from WPMT-TV FOX 43 in Harrisburg, PA where she was a reporter and fill-in anchor. Prior to that, she was a reporter for KTAB-TV CBS 32 and KRBC-TV NBC 9 both in Abilene, TX. Jessica started her career as a web producer and then a news writer at WHDH-TV and WLVI-TV in Boston.

A native of the Boston area, Jessica is a 2009 graduate of the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied communication.
