Chronicle, the nation's longest running and top rated locally produced news magazine, is celebrating its 35th year on the air.

The Emmy award winning show continues to be a beloved fan-favorite and is anchored by J.C. Monahan and Anthony Everett, with Shayna Seymour and Ted Reinstein reporting. The half-hour show airs weeknights on WCVB at 7:30 PM.

For over three decades, Chronicle has been constantly evolving and consistently delivering viewers the stories that explore the fabric of New England, ranging from Chronicle’s longest running feature -- Main Streets and Back Roads, to the latest in travel, dining, shopping, nightlife and more. Chronicle also ventures beyond New England bringing viewers a glimpse of some exotic destinations including Curacao, the Caribbean, Greece, and South America to name a few. In fact, since the show’s inception in 1982, Chronicle has visited five of the seven continents (all but Australia and Antarctica). And the program continues to provide a platform for long-form, in-depth journalism on topics as varied as depression in American society, the rise of artificial intelligence, and development in Greater Boston.

“Chronicle is truly a gem for all of us living here in the New England area,” said Bill Fine, WCVB President and General Manager. “We celebrate and applaud the entire Chronicle team for reaching such a significant milestone, and salute them for delivering the highest caliber show that continues to set the standard for local programming across the country.”

“Chronicle’s longer format stories, so rare to see today, really enable our talented team to deliver in-depth stories about the people and places that make New England such a special place to live,” said Chris Stirling, Chronicle Executive Producer. “Our entire Chronicle family considers it an honor and a privilege to take our viewers on journeys with us throughout New England and beyond with a simple mission to entertain, educate and inspire.”
