Kerry Connolly is no longer with Boston's WBZ CBS 4, New England One has confirmed.

Kerry was most recently the weekend morning anchor for WBZ This Morning.

"Kerry Connolly has chosen to pursue other opportunities. We wish her the best" said a WBZ spokesperson to New England One.

In addition to being the weekend morning anchor, Kerry was also the creator and host of the very popular Sunday morning “Pet Parade” segment where she took her intense passion and love for animals and helps them find loving forever homes.

Following a break from WBZ while on maternity leave, Kerry returned to WBZ in August 2009 as the morning news and traffic reporter. In May 2010, she took over as weekend morning anchor of the weekend morning newscasts. In 2013, Kerry moved to weekdays, and then back to weekends in 2014.

From January 2001 to September 2004, Kerry was co-anchor for WBZ-TV’s morning newscast at 5AM and 7AM as well as the 7AM-8AM newscast on sister station WSBK-TV.

In 2004, Kerry was the host of “Totally Patriots,” a popular Patriots program for youngsters, as well as a reporter for “Patriots All Access,” both programs produced by Kraft Sports Production.

Kerry also hosted “Golf Destination” on NESN and the “Boston Magazine Show” special on WCVB-TV.

Before joining WBZ-TV in 2001, Kerry worked at WFSB CBS 3 in Hartford, Connecticut beginning in 1997. At WFSB, Kerry served as a reporter and anchor for the weekend morning news before taking the co-anchor position for the station’s weekday morning news in 1998. In addition to her anchor role, Kerry was the station’s health and medical reporter.

Kerry was also an anchor and reporter at WBBH NBC 2 in Fort Myers, Florida.

A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Kerry is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.

An avid athlete, Connolly was an All-American in lacrosse and field hockey. She is the owner and an instructor at Row & Ride, an indoor rowing and cycling studio in Hanover.
