Breana Pitts has joined CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV as a news reporter, covering traffic and other reporting duties.

Breana Pitts has joined CBS Boston’s WBZ-TV as a news reporter, covering traffic and other reporting duties.

Pitts will be assigned to weekday mornings, and will begin her new position on Monday, July 18.

"Could not be more excited to be back home. See you on TV soon" Pitts said on her Facebook page.

Before coming back to Boston, Pitts was a Main Anchor at KTSM-TV in El Paso, Texas, where she had worked since 2014. Prior to joining KTSM-TV, Pitts was a News Coordinator at WHDH-TV, the NBC affiliate in Boston, where she spent nearly two years. She began her broadcasting career at New England Sports Network as a Host/Reporter in 2012.

Pitts is a graduate of Suffolk University, where she earned a B.A. in broadcast journalism.
