In what has become a frequent game of musical anchor chairs, management at Boston's WHDH-TV NBC 7 is making another change at the anchor desk.

Elizabeth Noreika has moved to anchoring weekend evenings, and will also report during the week. She joins her former weekday co-anchor Nick Emmons who was sent to weekends in May 2015 in a similar anchor swap with Ryan Schulteis.

There has only been speculation as to why management is making the move, but WHDH has made a habit of bumping on-air talent from the anchor desk. Brandon Gunnoe, Tim Caputo, Steve Cooper, and Jonathan Hall are among the reporters at 7 News who used to have a seat at the anchor desk - and that's only counting the people that are still there.

While we do not have historical data for the 4pm hour, ratings for the 5pm hour have been solid in the adults ages 25 to 54 demographic over the past few months.

Since September 2015, WHDH has overtaken WCVB for first place in A25-54 from 5pm-6pm, going up a tenth of a point in both October and November.

Elizabeth joined WHDH in January 2015 from WCHS-TV ABC 8 & WVAH-TV FOX 11 in Charleston, WV where she was the main co-anchor of the stations 5pm, 6pm & 11pm newscasts. She also contributed to the 10pm broadcast by producing and introducing a consumer segment.

Previously, she was a weekend anchor/reporter at WOAY-TV ABC 50 in Oakville, WV. She started working at WOAY two weeks before graduating college and says that her experience was "pretty much like graduate school, throwing me out into the field to learn for myself the ins and outs of reporting."

Elizabeth has been honored by the Associated Press as well as the West Virginia Broadcaster's Association for her anchoring and reporting.

A native of Huntsburg, OH, Elizabeth is a graduate of Ohio University where she studied political science and government/communications.

Jadiann Thompson will move to anchoring weekdays. She will co-anchor 7 News at 4pm, 4:30pm & 5:30pm alongside Schulteis, and will also report for 7 News at 10pm & 11pm.

Jadiann started at WHDH in June 2015 as the weekend evening anchor. She most recently filled in on 7 News Today in New England while anchor Sarah French was on maternity leave.

Jadiann came to Boston from KSHB-TV NBC 41 in Kansas City where she anchored the 6pm newscast, and reported for other broadcasts at the station.

Before KSHB, Jadiann was a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at KPHO-TV CBS 5 in Phoenix, AZ. She got her start in television news at KTWO-TV ABC 2 in Casper, WY. She joined KTWO first as a multimedia journalist, and was later promoted to executive producer and main anchor of the stations 5pm, 6pm & 10pm newscasts. She also spent time as the assistant news director at the station.

A native of Northwest Arkansas, Jadiann is a 2007 graduate of the University of Arkansas where she studied broadcast journalism.

It is unlikely that the changes will stop here, especially with NBC set to leave the station by the end of the year. We've already heard speculation that some on-air have started exploring ways to get out of their contracts. Stay tuned!
