In the first personnel move since Cox Media Group took over, FOX 25 morning news anchor Shannon Mulaire has announced that she is leaving the station.

"Goodbye and thank you all for a wonderful 5 years in Boston! Baby #2 and family call in CT. Tough to leave my coworkers, but the time is right. Wishing you all the best!" she said on Facebook.

Shannon joined FOX 25 in 2010 as a general assignment reporter, and was also the 10pm & 11pm weekend anchor before moving to weekday mornings.

Before making her move to Boston, Shannon reported for WTVT in Tampa and WFTX in Fort Mayer, Florida. Shannon speaks Spanish and has spent time studying abroad in Mexico and Spain.

Shannon graduated from Wellesley College, double-majoring in Spanish, and cinema and media studies. She later went on to earn a Master's in broadcast journalism from Emerson College, where she received the departmental award for excellence.

We wish Shannon the best of luck, and will let you know where she ends up.
