The Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission have acted swiftly and granted early termination to the Cox Media Group and Fox Television Stations station swap.

The DOJ & FTC have no antitrust issues that require conditioning to the deal, and will not seek to block the deal.

The deal is likely to be approved by the FCC, and shouldn't take too long since the decision is usually coordinated with the DOJ & FTC.

Cox and Fox announced the swap on June 24 to trade FTS's WFXT FOX 25 Boston & WHBQ FOX 13 Memphis for Cox's KTVU FOX 2 and KICU TV 36 both in San Francisco.
