Brittany Murphy has joined WGGB-TV ABC 40/FOX 6 and WSHM-LD CBS 3 as a traffic reporter for Western Mass News 40 in the Morning.
Brittany joins WMN from WMCT-TV, a local cable station in Marlborough, MA, where she had been news director since January 2015. As news director, she was
responsible for covering local news in the community and producing a magazine show. She joined WMCT in 2012 as a news production assistant and freelanced
for the station for two years before being hired part-time.
Prior to WMCT, Brittany interned at WHDH-TV in Boston in the sports department, where she learned how to cover breaking news and events.
A Massachusetts native, Brittany is a 2013 graduate of Emerson College in Boston where she earned a Bachelor's degree in journalism.
Brittany's first day on-air at WMN was on November 2.
