1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
I still lament the fall of the Blackberry but can't deny iPhones changed my life.  My current iPhone 6 is loaded with every CBS app because I'm obsessive about knowing everything as it happens. Oh & the Peapod app because I find grocery shopping to be torturous. A++ for delivery.

2. Favorite and least favorite news/weather topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
Love politics & sports. Pretty much the same thing right?
Dislike assignments with no real viewer benefit. Fortunately our editorial staff is full of "wicked smart" folks who make great content decisions.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
Making documentaries. Running some politician's campaign. Event planning. Teaching college. Flunking out of law school. Writing a book. Running a non-profit. Bartending.
And that's why news is the perfect career for me- I get to blend so many interests together every day.

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
My parents swear I quit ballet class as a kid so I could watch Saturday cartoons but the only one I can remember is "Jem & The Holograms"??  Guess I should have stuck with ballet.

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
That awkward moment when you're not sure if you actually have free time of if you're just forgetting everything.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
The Philippines to see my grandfather's family.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
My Great Aunt Binky in Panama City, Florida. The woman is hilarious. Actually- can I be HER dinner guest?? She's a phenomenal cook.

8. Do you collect anything?
Besides scars (cuz I'm a klutz), interns. Love working with young journalists & being a small part of their journey. A lot of great people helped me get started. I feel like it's our duty to pay it forward.

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
Per the plays counter, in order... "Georgia," by Hanson; "Then I Did," by Rascal Flatts; "Meet Virginia," by Train.

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
One of my favorite people to interview as a rookie reporter was Bay County Property Appraiser Zayne Spitzer.  He had a plaque in his office that said, "Illegitimis non carborundum."  Google it if you've never heard it.

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Okay, I'll actually get deep here. My mom makes me a stronger person every single day. She's a retired firefighter & paramedic fighting PTSD. She's amazing. But it's heartbreaking to love somebody with such an ugly diagnosis. She teaches me so much about what it truly means to be tough, but also selfless. SHMILY
