Jeremy Reiner is a meteorologist for WHDH-TV NBC 7 in Boston, and brings you the weather weekday mornings for 7 News Today in New England, and at noon.
Jeremy came to WHDH in 2006 from WSOC-TV ABC 9 in Charlotte, NC where he had been a meteorologist for almost 7 years. He has also worked as a meteorologist at WGME-TV CBS 13 in Portland, ME; and at KAAL-TV ABC 6 in Austin, MN.
A native of Dalton, MA, Jeremy is a 1993 graduate of Lyndon State College in Lyndonville, VT where he attained a Bachelor's degree in meteorology.
1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
iPhone 5s....fav apps are Radarscope...Twitter....Tabs (guitar tabs)....Facebook and of course..our 7News weather app! ;o)
2. Favorite and least favorite news topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
I typically only cover weather topics...no news with me...in terms of weather, I find all of our seasons challenging....tracking tornadoes is the most serious as life sometimes can be at risk.
3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
Teaching Science
4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
Tom & Jerry or the Jetsons! (Scooby Doo was high on the list)
5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
Free time....all about the 6-string...playing & learning new songs on the acoustic!
6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Travel?..now?....somewhere tropical!--haha
7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?

8. Do you collect anything?
I don't have any collectibles ---check that.....Red Sox ticket stubs...all in the man-cave (all 10 of them)

Top 3 songs....U2 / Breathe......Maroon 5/ Sunday Morning.....Beastie Boys / The Brouhaha
10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
From Ben Affleck at the Oscars a few years back "It doesn't matter how you get knocked down in life because that's going to happen. All that matters is you gotta get up." I Love that.
11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Had to speak to the High School Senior Class of my Alma Mater (Wahconah Regional out in Dalton MA). Hard to believe but public speaking freaks me out...but the teacher that asked me to speak was my latin teacher & made such a lasting impression on me I couldn't say no. I gave the speech...I hope I left them with a lasting impression.
