German TV broadcaster Discovery Networks Deutschland has launched its women’s channel TLC in neighbouring Austria.
The first carriage partner is Austria’s national telco A1 Telekom Austria which distributes the free-to-air channel on its IPTV platform A1 TV.
TLC which targets women between 20 and 49 years of age can be received in standard resolution by all A1 TV customers within the basic package. Viewers wanting to watch the channel in HD quality have to sign up to the HD option.
After men’s channel DMAX, TLC is the second advertising-financed free-to-air channel offered by Discovery Networks in Austria.
