Audrey Kuchen has been promoted to the main evening co-anchor at Hartford, CT's WTIC-TV FOX 61. She had been filling in since Alison Morris left for WNYW in New York City, but the job is now hers.

Audrey has dreamed of being in television news since she was a child. In second grade, when doing one of those 'about me' projects, she listed that she wanted to be a "A News Lady (Complete with an illustration of a stick figure woman clutching a mic on the sidelines of a basketball court.)

Audrey says "Being in this state is a true homecoming after stints in Arizona, California, and Oregon. I grew up in Connecticut, my husband did too. This is our home-state and we love it."

She continued "To be able to work here in this new capacity is an absolute dream come true. I am so excited and I hope you will all tune in. My second-grade self thanks you for all the support!"

Audrey joined FOX CT News in 2010 as a weekend morning news anchor & reporter, and in 2011 became the weekend evening news anchor.

Audrey came to FOX CT from KMVU FOX 26 & KOBI NBC 5 in Medford, OR where she was a news anchor and producer. She also worked as the spokesperson for “Smart Choices Healthy Lives,” a campaign to fight childhood obesity and promote nutrition and physical fitness in schools. While in Oregon, Audrey was voted the “Best Local TV Personality” according to Southern Oregon Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards, as well as a “Favorite Television Personality” by the MailTribune.

Previously, she was a reporter at HomeTown News Network in San Francisco, CA. While she was in college,she was a creative director at Campus Magazine and political reporter at the Arizona State Senate.

Audrey is a 2005 graduate of the University of Arizona where she studied media arts and journalism, and is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

A connecticut native, Audrey will be co-anchoring the news at 5pm, 10pm & 11pm with Brent Hardin.
