WWLP’s parent company, Media General, has announced a long-term agreement with The CW Network to bring a CW affiliate to WWLP’s digital subchanel WWLP-DT2.

The CW Network and Media General, Inc. have announced long-term network affiliation agreements in sixteen markets nationwide. The announcement was made today by Chris Brooks, Senior Vice President, Network Distribution, The CW, and Vincent L. Sadusky, President and Chief Executive Officer, Media General.

The agreements include renewals for CW affiliates in markets that Media General owns, operates or services television stations, including: KNVA-TV in Austin, TX; KWBQ-TV in Albuquerque, NM; WNLO-TV in Buffalo, NY; WCBD-DT2 in Charleston, SC; WFNA-TV in Mobile, AL; WBDT-TV in Dayton, OH; WYCW-TV in Greenville-New Bern-Washington, NC; WNCT-DT2 in Greenville-Spartanburg-Asheville, SC; KHON-DT2 in Honolulu, HI; WJTV-DT2 in Jackson, MS; KXTU-LD in Colorado Springs, CO; WLAJ-DT2 in Lansing, MI; and KTKA-DT3 in Topeka, KS. The CW also signed new affiliation agreements for Media General’s WWLP-DT2 in Springfield-Holyoke, MA and WHLT-D2 in Hattiesburg/Laurel, Mississippi, as well as the recently announced affiliation with WISH-TV in Indianapolis, IN.

“The CW has been a longstanding and valued partner for many years and we are pleased to continue building upon our relationship,” said Sadusky. “We are particularly excited about our new agreement for WISH-TV and launching the CW on our digital channels in Springfield, MA and Hattiesburg, MS.”
