Caught in Providence is back! Rhode Island’s own courtroom reality show returns to ABC 6 for a late night run, Saturday night following ABC 6 News Late Edition and Sunday nights at 12:05am. The show is recorded live as it happens in Providence Municipal Court.  According to Chief Municipal Court Judge Frank Caprio “You could never script the excuses that I hear before this court.”

Produced and Directed by Joseph Caprio, Caught in Providence captures real people as they have their cases heard in Providence Municipal Court. “Expect the unexpected, from a real good laugh to tears, it’s live on tape and anything can happen. "It's a Rhode Island favorite, the unscripted proceedings of the Providence Municipal Court,” stated Joseph.  The cases include traffic, parking, and arraignments for criminal offenses. "We've had people wear company logos looking for free promotion... I guess it's worth the $15 parking ticket" according to Caprio.

John Methia, Director of Broadcast Operations at WLNE-TV ABC 6 said “It's not often that we come across a locally produced program series that has the kind of cult following that Caught In Providence has. It has developed a strong viewer base through its airing on Rhode Island's cable interconnect. We are excited about bringing the popular series back to the ABC6 late night programming line up and introducing it to a wider Southern New England audience.”
