ABC6 weekend anchor Liz Tufts has been promoted to weekday 5 p.m. & 5:30 p.m. anchor alongside Mark Curtis at the Providence station starting August 20.
“She has done an outstanding job as Anchor/Producer of our Weekend Newscasts for the past 3 years,” WLNE news director Nic Moye said in a statement. “Her experience and local knowledge are a wonderful addition to the 5 and 5:30 team.”
Liz joined ABC6 in 2011 as an anchor and photo journalist. She joined the station from WSHM-TV where she was an anchor/reporter. Before that she was a Reporter/Producer/Videographer at KLKN in Lincoln, NE.
Liz is a New England native, and graduated from Emerson College in Boston.
