Olivia Fecteau has joined WJAR NBC 10 as a digital journalist.

Most recently, Olivia worked as a reporter and multimedia journalist at WSAZ NewsChannel 3 in Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia. Among the most memorable stories she covered at WSAZ was the West Virginia chemical spill, where a chemical used to process coal spilled into the Elk River and contaminated the drinking water of 300,000 West Virginians.

Before working at WSAZ, Olivia covered stories for WBRE/WYOU-TV (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania) from Washington, D.C., and worked as a freelance radio reporter for WRVO-FM in Central New York. She also interned at NewsChannel 9 WSYR in her hometown of East Syracuse, New York, and at New England Cable News.

Olivia earned her master's degree in broadcast and digital journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and studied industrial and labor relations as an undergraduate at Cornell University.

Olivia is excited to explore Rhode Island, including Warwick, where her mother lived as a child.

When she's not out telling your stories, Olivia can be found cooking (and eating!), running and biking, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.

Olivia's YouTube demo reel is below.

Welcome to Rhode Island, Olivia!
