Marysol Castro has joined WTNH-TV ABC 8 in New Haven, CT to fill-in as the morning traffic reporter while Teresa Dufour is on maternity leave.

"Please join us in welcoming Marysol Castro to the Good Morning Connecticut team!" WTNH announced on its Facebook page. "She'll be keeping Teresa's seat warm and watching the roads for you!"

Marysol joins WTNH from SheKnows Media where she is a blogger, and HooplaHa.com where she is a host.

Before her online work, Marysol was an anchor at WPIX-TV in New York City. She was also a weather anchor for CBS News morning program 'The Early Show.'

Prior to that, she spent 7 years at ABC News as the weather anchor and features reporter for Good Morning America Weekend in New York City. She's also worked as a reporter for WPIX-TV; and a reporter for News 12 The Bronx.

A native of New York City, Marysol is a graduate of Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT where she received a Bachelor's degree in English and government. She also achieved a Master's degree in broadcast journalism from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York City.
