Reporter Anthony Miller is leaving WHDH-TV NBC 7, and exiting the television news business.

Anthony tells New England One that he is "leaving the business to go work for a private company here in Boston."

Anthony joined WHDH in October 2013 from WTVT-TV FOX 13 in Tampa, FL where he was a reporter. While at WTVT, one of the biggest stories he covered was the Casey Anthony trial.

Prior to WTVT, Anthony was a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at WCSC-TV in Charleston, SC. During his three years in Charleston, he "covered stories that impacted local viewers and attracted national attention." In addition to anchoring weekends, he was also the weekend newsroom manager overseeing in-house production staff and reporters in the field.

Anthony started his career KTVO-TV as the weekend anchor in the Ottumwa, IA bureau. He wore many hats at KTVO, including reporter, photographer, producer, and anchor.

A native of Buffalo, NY, Anthony is a 2005 graduate of Emerson College in Boston where he earned a degree in broadcast journalism. There, he was honored with the 2005 Bob Hoyt Excellence in Journalism Award for his undergraduate work.

His last day at WHDH is Sunday.
