Last week, we reported that Sarah French was promoted to weekday morning and noon anchor at WHDH-TV NBC 7 in Boston. Today, we learn that some additional changes have happened on the anchor desk.
Ryan Schulteis, Sarah's former weekend co-anchor, has been promoted to weekday anchor. He will co-anchor 7 News at 4pm, 4:30pm & 5:30pm alongside Elizabeth Noreika, and will also report for 7 News at 10pm & 11pm.
Ryan has been with WHDH since 2006, and has covered everything from the death of actor Heath Ledger, to the Boston Red Sox.
Ryan joined WHDH from KVVU-TV FOX 5 in Las Vegas, NV where he was a reporter. While in Las Vegas, he covered a wide range of major stories with both local and national interest. He also got to interview stars like U2′s Bono, Britney Spears, George Clooney, Jerry Seinfeld, Mark Walberg, and Donald Trump to name a few.
Ryan has also been a reporter at WISN-TV in Milwaukee, WI; WTVO-TV in Rockford, IL; and has interned at WTMJ-TV in Milwaukee.
A native of Milwaukee, Ryan is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh where he studied radio, TV and film.
Recently married, Ryan lives in Boston with his husband.
Nick Emmons moves to anchoring weekend evenings, and also reporting during the week.
Nick joined WHDH in 2013 from KDVR-TV FOX 31/KWGN-TV CW 2 in Denver, CO where he most recently anchored the 7pm news on KWGN. He has previously been the morning anchor for 'Good Day Colorado' on KDVR. During his time in Denver, Nick covered stories like the Aurora theater shooting, some the worst wildfires in Colorado history, and the devastating floods the affected much of the state.
Nick has also been an anchor at KION-TV in Monterey, CA; and a sports anchor at KRCR-TV in Redding, CA.
A native of El Segundo, CA, Nick is a 2008 graduate of California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo where he studied broadcast journalism and public relations.
Also recently married, Nick lives in the Boston area with his wife.
The changes are effective immediately.
