New England Cable News is once again the television and online home to two classic annual Boston traditions, the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast and the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will air live on necn and necn.com on Sunday, March 15 from 9 AM to 3:30 PM.

New this year, necn will be hosting a Live from the Green Carpet special before the annual breakfast. Kicking off at 9 AM, necn Anchor Latoyia Edwards and Chief Meteorologist Matt Noyes will host, with Political Reporter Alison King and Reporter Ally Donnelly offering coverage and live interviews as guests arrive at the event, which draws in the state’s most prominent names in politics and public service each year. This year, some of the highest profile presenters include Governor Charlie Baker, Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren and many more. The breakfast – hosted for the second year in a row by Massachusetts State Senator Linda Dorcena Forry – kicks off at 10 AM at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Jim Braude will again anchor the breakfast for necn and necn’s Political Reporter Alison King will also offer live reports, interviews from the Green Room and analysis during the event.

Immediately following the breakfast, necn Anchor Latoyia Edwards and Chief Meteorologist Matt Noyes will host the South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade coverage beginning at 12:30 PM, with necn Meteorologist Nelly Carreno reporting live from the start of the parade route. Coverage plans include the pre-parade show as well as videos and interviews, bringing the excitement of the day’s festivities to viewers at home.

The entire day’s celebration will be live streamed on necn.com, with extensive highlights posted online for viewing after the events. The entire breakfast will re-air on Sunday evening at 6:30 PM on necn and will be available via Xfinity On Demand starting Sunday night in the necn folder in the Get Local section.
