Audrey Asistio has joined New England Cable News/NBC Boston as an anchor and reporter, a necn spokesperson has told New England One.

Audrey comes to necn/NBC Boston from CBS owned and operated station KOVR CBS 13 in Sacramento, California where she was most recently the weekday morning news anchor.

Before joining KOVR, Audrey worked for KSEE NBC 24 in Fresno, California where she was an anchor, reporter and weathercaster.

She has also worked at KHSL CBS/CW 12/KNVN NBC/Telemundo 24 in Chico, California; and KIMA CBS/CW 29 in Yakima, Washington. She also spent two years as a Gold Rush cheerleader for the San Francisco 49ers.

A native of San Bruno, California, Audrey is a graduate of San Francisco State University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in radio and television with an emphasis in broadcast journalism.

Audrey's first day at necn is on August 1.
