Lauren Leamanczyk is leaving Boston's WBZ CBS 4/WSBK MyTV 38, New England One has confirmed.

Lauren Leamanczyk is leaving Boston's WBZ CBS 4/WSBK MyTV 38, New England One has confirmed.

Lauren started at the WBZ in 2011 as the New Hampshire Bureau Chief and general assignment reporter. She was part of the news team who in 2014 received both a Columbia DuPont Award as well as a 2013 George Foster Peabody Award for coverage of the Boston Marathon Bombings. She was promoted to an investigative reporter on whe WBZ I-Team in June 2014.

Lauren will reportedly be joining the I-Team at a station in Minneapolis, Minnesota - she's moving to the area to be closer to her home city of Chicago.

Prior to WBZ-TV News, Lauren worked as a reporter at WTMJ NBC 4 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She won multiple awards for writing and for breaking news coverage. While at WTMJ, she covered events throughout the Midwest and the nation. She spent a week reporting live from the Virginia Tech campus following the deadly mass shooting.

Lauren is also experienced in political coverage and was a lead reporter on the 2008 Presidential Campaign. She reported live from the Iowa Straw Poll, Iowa Caucuses and from President Barack Obama’s election night rally in Chicago.

She began her career reporting WKOW ABC 27 in Madison, Wisconsin; and also worked at college television station KOMU NBC 8 in Columbia, Missouri.

Lauren graduated from the University of Missouri with a major in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science.
