Butch Stearns has today returned to the job he left in 2009 after his contract was not renewed by WFXT-TV. He had been at FOX 25 for 10 years from 1999 to 2009, and was the Sports Director.

FOX 25 has not yet confirmed whether he has re-joined the station permanently, or is just filling since Brendan Fitzgerald left.

Butch was most recently the Chief Customer Officer at  The Pulse Network, a digital media and event solutions company. He also hosts a sports talk show on WEEI radio, which he has done for over 18 years.

He has also worked for Comcast Sportsnet New England, WMAQ-TV in Chicago, WDFN Sports Radio Detroit, KFAN Sports radio Minneapolis, Sporting News Radio Network and KAAL TV in Rochester, MN,

"You can go home again. Back tonight at 6:00, 10 and 11" Butch said on Twitter, "Great to be back. Tune in" he continued.

Butch is a native of Braintree, MA and is a 1982 graduate of Stonehill College where he received a degree in business administration, marketing and communications.
