7 News anchor Amanda Grace has announced her exit from WHDH-TV 7 News Boston in an internal e-mail sent to staff by news director Linda Miele.

Amanda started at the station in October 2008 as a general assignment reporter, coming to the station from XETV channel 6 in San Diego. She was named anchor of the 4pm, 4:30pm & 5:30pm newscasts in November 2011, and also reports for the 10pm & 11pm broadcasts.

Prior to that, Amanda worked at WSET in Roanoke/Lynchburg, Virginia, as an anchor, reporter and producer.  She's also spent time as a general assignment reporter at KSNT in Topeka, Kansas, and in the Chicago bureaus of NBC Nightly News and Fox News Channel.

Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Amanda is moving west with her family to Seattle to be closer to family.

Amanda is not leaving 7 News immediatly, she will be with the station for the next few months, and a replacement has not yet been named.
