WHDH is making some more changes to the 7 News set, including a graphics package overhaul. The green chroma key wall is back up behind the anchor desk, and is broadcasting a recorded loop of the 7 News room.

The upgrades were supposed to happen in April before the Boston Marathon, but most of the changes were scrapped by management who were not happy with the new graphics package overhaul. The green screen came down, and some minor set changes were unveiled.

No word from WHDH on what the plans are this time, but inside sources are reporting the duratrans on the balcony are coming down, as well as the red "banner" that surrounds the news room.

The new graphics package is suppsedly ready to go, and everything should be live in a few weeks when the set is finally finished.

A much needed update to "Urban Update" is on the books as well.

Unless, of course, the changes get scrapped again.

You can take a look at what the graphics change looked like during a 7 News Today in New England rehearsal before the changes were cancelled last April.

Stay tuned.
