Bianca will be leaving the EyeOpener at the end of May.

20 Things you didn't know about Bianca

"Bianca has been a big part of our success on the EyeOpener," said Fine. "For over a year now, we have been discussing her future options in television and she is an entrepreneur at heart. Bianca has numerous other interests and will undoubtedly be successful in pursuing her new career. I'm thrilled her first venture will be on WCVB."

"It's a dream come true to be launching my own show on WCVB, the station I've called home for the past 5 years," said de la Garza. "I've spent 17 years covering major news events. Moving into a new creative space in television was something I wanted to do and something Bill Fine understood and embraced. This partnership is a perfect union of our desire to create original programming that speaks to New England viewers."

The show concept being developed by de la Garza' Lucky Gal Productions is an entertainment and lifestyle focused show with an eye on Boston's local celebrity, fashion and nightlife scene.

Specific details will be announced at a later date. Continued de la Garza, "All I can say is the new show will be very Boston and very Bianca – stay tuned!"

"A new full time replacement for Bianca will be announced in the near future, although there is no rush given that we still have her talents on the EyeOpener for the next four months," added Fine.
