Sarah Wroblewski is currently the weekend meteorologist at WFXT-TV FOX 25 in Boston.

Before joining FOX 25 in 2011, Sarah was a media sales engineer at Weather Services International in Andover, MA. She has also worked as a weather programmer, where she created graphics for WSI clients across the country as well as forecasting on-camera for several regional weather channels. Prior to that, Sarah was a weather producer and later the weekend morning meteorologist at WBZ-TV CBS 4.

A native of Marlborough, CT, Sarah is a 2004 graduate of the University of Massachusetts Lowell where she studied atmospheric science.

1. What kind of phone do you have, and what are your favorite apps?
Samsung Galaxy, I like the fact I can look at weather models easily. My favorite app is the FOX 25 weather app. I check it first thing when I wake up and throughout the day. I’m also big into social media, so I’m usually posting to twitter and Facebook through my phone. Lastly, kids apps… A long drive in the car with a two year old is a lot smoother when Cookie Monster challenge is on your phone.

2. Favorite and least favorite news/weather topics to cover (besides violent crime)?
Love sharing new developments or exciting new discoveries in the environmental world. It’s always really cool to learn from the stories you are covering and being able to share that with the viewers.  My least favorite topics include when weather impacts someone or a family in a negative way. It’s sad when weather can be deadly and my job as a meteorologist is to help people avoid those situations and or least be prepared.

3. If you weren't working in TV news, what would you be doing?
Sleeping smiley. No, seriously I love forecasting, so I can’t imagine not doing that. I don’t think I could give up my passion for weather, so I’d probably be working for a private weather company or industry.

4. What was your favorite cartoon growing up?
My older brother and sister had the remote, so I watched what they watched.

5. When you have 30 minutes of free-time, how do you pass the time?
It seems rare these day, but when I do have some free time, I’m usually boxing or training for the Boston Marathon 5K.

6. If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?
Poland. I’d love to see the culture of where my great grandparents came from.

7. Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as a dinner guest?
In the past, Ben Franklin. His mind was amazing and he was always thinking of the future. He was Americas first forecaster noting weather/cloud patterns. However, today… I would love to sit down with Mia Hamm. She was such an inspiration growing up. I played soccer all my life and she really set the tone for being a strong, independent woman and following your dreams.

8. Do you collect anything?
Receipts. It’s awful. I can’t seem to throw them away. Once I can’t fit anymore in my wallet… I purge them.

9. What are the top 3 played songs on your iPod?
“Style” by Taylor Swift. That song is so catchy
 “Thinking out loud” Ed Sheerin
“Drunk on a plane” Dierks Bently

But if I’m working out… Beyonce or Rihanna Pandora are on repeat!

10. What is one of your favorite quotes?
 “It is what it is.”

11. What was the last experience that made you a stronger person?
Having my daughter. Growing a human being is hard work, but carrying a 30lb 2 year old and a 17lb infant in a car seat along with groceries all at the same time has definitely been a good workout regime. Honestly, my kids amaze me each day and I know balancing work, home and my family, I’m stronger because of it.
