After several days of rumors, TMZ reports that Rosie O'Donnell has officially signed a deal to return to The View as a co-host this fall.
Yesterday, Sherri Sheperd and Jenny McCarthy confirmed on air that they are leaving the show. O'Donnell previously co-hosted The View in 2007. The ratings were strong, but her controversial opinions often rubbed the other hosts the wrong way.
Producers are also looking for a Latina and a conservative according to TMZ. Two conservative candidates who are being scoped are Abby Huntsman and Margaret Hoover.
