Media General, Inc. today announced the team that will lead its Washington, D.C. News Bureau.

Jim Osman, 18-time Emmy Award winning political and investigative reporter and the Company's Washington, D.C. Bureau Chief which was formed in May, recruited and appointed the following accomplished journalists:

Chance Seales, National Correspondent. Mr. Seales launched his career working on Capitol Hill during George W. Bush's second presidential term. His first reporting post covered the Missouri state legislature for public radio. Shortly after, Mr. Seales became a reporter, and then an anchor, for KOMU-TV in Columbia, MO. Most recently, he served as Anchor at ABC affiliate WZVN-TV and NBC affiliate WBBH-TV in Ft. Myers, FL.

Mark Meredith, National Correspondent. Mr. Meredith is an award-winning journalist who joins the team from FOX affiliate KDVR-TV in Denver, CO, where for the past four years, he covered a number of high profile stories, including the Aurora theater shooting and trial, the legalization of marijuana and the largest wildfires in the state's history. Prior to KDVR-TV, Mr. Meredith served as a General Assignment Reporter for WMBF-TV in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Alex Schuman, Congressional Correspondent. Prior to joining the Bureau, Mr. Schuman served as a Reporter for ABC affiliate WHAS-TV in Louisville, KY, where he helped cover the race between Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Democratic candidate Allison Lundergan Grimes. Prior to WHAS-TV, Mr. Schuman was the Statehouse Reporter for ABC affiliate WOI-DT in Des Moines, IA, where he covered state politics and the 2011 Presidential caucus and 2012 election.

Danielle Gatewood-Gill, Photojournalist/Producer. Ms. Gatewood-Gill joins the Bureau from CBS affiliate WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C., where she was a Photojournalist/Multimedia Journalist. Prior to that role, she worked for KTVK-TV, a top rated independent station in Phoenix, AZ and she was also the lead photographer/editor for Maricopa Colleges Television ("MCTV"). Ms. Gatewood-Gill launched her news career as a news photographer for CBS affiliate KTVN-TV in Reno, NV.

"We've expanded our Bureau with a great team who has the expertise and the Washington D.C. contacts to seek out the best stories, deliver breaking news, interviews, investigative specials, and drill down and localize national and international news, so viewers can better understand how it impacts them directly," said Mr. Osman.

Mr. Osman has more than 15 years of experience covering state and national political campaigns, creating and reporting impactful stories, leading multimedia teams on various enterprise stories, and promoting the highest standards of ethical journalism in the industry. In his current role, he works with his team to develop, report and shares original stories of interest; and report "Live" for all screens from crisis locations and on breaking news.

Media General's Washington, D.C. News Bureau, which is located at 400 N Capitol Street, will launch its team coverage with Pope Francis' first scheduled visit to the U.S., beginning on September 22, 2015 and ending six days later with his final public mass in Philadelphia, PA.
